What a fun, fun, fun weekend....first we had girls night out at the Cheesecake Factory (always a delight) then it was off to the Improv to see Joe Rogan (he was pretty funny too.) Bridesmaid Lydia (such a doll) made yummy cookies shaped of course like a "penis" for us, Nicole got the extra large one which she nicknamed Willy for some reason???and Lydia custom made a veil for her...it was hilarious.
Saturday we were up early and on our way to Nestledown for wedding rehearsal and then Danny and I took the kids to Santa Cruz for the day. Saturday night we spent mostly getting ready for Sunday and hanging out with the family. We also spent some very special time with Nicole on her last night as a "single" woman. Nathan was nice enough to top off the evening with a special viewing of the full moon...his to be exact...YIKES!!!Sunday day was of course filled with getting ready...hair..makeup...transporting the "DRESS".......everything went off exactly as planned. The ceremony, the scrumptious dinner and dancing was perfect. Except maybe for the one moment when I fell flat on my butt while doing the electric slide. Now those of you who know me are of course attributing this minor mishap to alcohol but honestly it wasn't that....it was new shoes and a very slippery floor; I guess it was one time I was grateful for all the built in padding. My Auntie Alicia is still laughing!!
Time goes by so fast it seems like just yesterday Phil was calling us to say little Nicki was here. It has been so wonderful to watch her grow into a beautiful lady and successful business woman; we are very proud of you. Now we are further blessed with the addition of Wellington to our family who couldn't be sweeter and puts up with all our family craziness.Thank you so much Nicole and Wellington for such a wonderful time and to all the people who made the trip; it was great having all the family together. Love to all......xoxoxoSanta Cruz
